WYETH NACCHO CUP AWARD FOR EXCELLENCE
Zuiho Taniguchi, Ilene Levy, Cecilio Velasco, Lee Hall, & Sharon Esker, RN from the Global Health Society, Inc. (GHS) Camp in Mexico attended the sixth annual North American Camping Conference of Hemophilia Organizations (NACCHO) in Tempe, Arizona on January 25-27, 2008. NACCHO, organized by the Hemophilia Association in Arizona and funded by a grant from Wyeth, brings members of the community together to discuss best practices for conducting bleeding disorder camps.
The Global Health Society, Inc Mexico Camp Team was the recipient of the “Wyeth NACCHO Cup Award for Excellence,” along with a $1,500 grant for the most innovative educational program(s)/activity to teach campers about bleeding disorders and self-care.
